Dawn of the You’re Doing It Wrong!
Recently watched Day of the Dead, the recent remake of a classic 70′s gorefest, and I am appalled at just how wrong they got it all. Ok, so fast moving zombies I could make my peace with, although I don’t agree with it. But running across ceilings/walls like spiders? No!! Recognising their children’s voices, and obeying orders/showing allegiance/fear of other zombies? No no NO!!!!!!!!!!! George Romero is dead, long live George Romero!! Zombies just don’t do that. They just don’t! And a zombie hierarchy? GTFO!! Also, Mena Suvari doesn’t make a convincing soldier. And if they know a head shot does the business why the hell do they insist on firing away, wasting precious ammo? Once they discover fire is useful why not use it more often?! Another example of a Hollywood remake that’s not worth the celluloid it’s printed on. It’s not even fucking scary. The 1st Resident Evil movie was better and I wasn’t a huge fan of that. I really hate it when films get it so wrong! Day of the Dead should be downgraded from horror film to action adventure, and a piss poor one at that! *RANTY RANT*
